Terms and Conditions of Charter Contract
 

Check your confirmation carefully as it details the terms and conditions of renting the highway motor coach. Your reservation is confirmed. Your deposit should be in our office within seven days of confirmation.

1) The deposit requirements are as follows $250.00 for bookings under $2,500.00 or otherwise 10% of the booking cost. The balance is due in full 10 days prior to travel date. We request that you notify us immediately in the event that you have to cancel your charter. A cancellation charge of $250 will be imposed if not cancelled at least 10 days prior to travel date. For Holiday or long weekends 21 days cancellation notice is required. Cancellation with in 10 days to 4 days, a charge of 50% of the charter rate will be assessed, 3 days to 1 day, a charge of 75% of the charter rate will be assessed. Departure day cancellations will be 100%

If customer makes any changes to the itinerary and/or if travel or time exceeds the amount on which the quote/confirmation is based, the customer agrees to pay any additional charges at the prevailing rates.

Driver's hours of service is a maximum of 14 hours in one day (includes driving and on-duty-not-driving time). A third party (user of this service) must not request or allow driver to exceed this limit. Third parties include tour operators, group leaders, teachers, chaperones, hockey coaches, escorts, etc. Shared responsibility means third party can be charged for driver's hours of service violation. Other driver's hours of service restrictions apply. (Note: while driving in the US the rules differ.)

Unless otherwise stated in the quote/confirmation, all applicable fees, such as toll, parking, admissions and related taxes are not included in the price quoted and confirmed.

All damages or "Special Cleaning" fees caused by passengers will be assessed by the carrier and will be charged to the customer, if deemed necessary.

All property will be handled at the passengers risk. Carrier will not be held responsible for lost articles.

Assignment of Specific equipment and or drivers cannot be guaranteed.

Law strictly prohibits smoking and alcohol consumption on board buses.

The carrier will make every effort to meet times on contract, however, delays due to weather, road construction and maintenance, road accidents, customs/immigration, border security and other issues are beyond the control of the carrier and not the responsibility of the carrier.

No Standees permitted on charter coaches Carrier will not be liable for failure to operate a charter due to an act of God or work stoppages.

Passenger comfort and the environment are both very important to this company and the customer agrees to minimize its requests that require engine idling

It is the full responsibility of the customer to obtain, at their own expense, all necessary travel documents required by all relevant government authorities, including all ports of call, and to comply with the laws thereof; Canadian Citizens traveling to the United States must be have a Canadian Passport, or a birth certificate issued by the province in which you were born and valid picture ID such as a drivers licence, or a Canadian Citizen Card. US citizens must have a valid US passport or approved secure document showing proof of citizenship. Citizens of other countries can call us or the US consulate for the latest requirements. It is at the passengers cost to be sent back to Canada if refused at any border crossing. Boarding will be denied (without refund) for any passenger who cannot provide proper documentation.

Price increase shall be permitted if the customer has not paid in full or the services have not been altered by the customer then; the total price of the travel services is increased and the cumulative increase, except any increase resulting from an increase in retail sales tax or federal goods and services tax. Final payments will be accepted and posted from 21 days prior to departure.

Please note that the living standards and practices in the United States of America and the standards and conditions there with respect to provision of utilities, services and accommodations may differ from those found in Canada.

We recommend and all passengers have Travel medical insurance when going outside of the province. If passengers require insurance they can purchase From Get Away Tours and Travel Inc.
