2011 PRIVATE CHARTERS
 

Charter Costs - Full Boat - $1900

Private charter pricing is based on a minimum cruise length of 2 hours with a separate charge of $300 for each additional hour thereafter.   These prices include the applicable taxes, the exclusive use of the boat and the required staff.  All catering, entertainment, open bar, etc., are additional charges.              
 

Charter Costs - Middle Level Only - $1300
Rental of the middle level is also available, however, times must comply with our regular cruise schedules as indicated in our brochure.  Your group will have exclusive access to the middle level of the boat as well as full access to both bottom and top levels.                                                                                
Capacity
The Serendipity Princess is a 3 deck paddle wheeler, Coast Guard approved for 265 passengers.  However, Company policy permits a maximum capacity of 200 for private functions where liquor is sold.  Combining all three levels of the boat there is a maximum sit-down meal capacity of 163.  Level 1 has a sit down capacity of 34; depending on whether or not music is set up during dinner, Level 2 has a seating capacity of 67 (without music) or 63 (with music).  Level 3 has a sit down capacity of 62.  Due to Canadian Coast Guard regulations, Level 3 has a maximum capacity of 65 people at any one time during cruising.
 

Catering
You may discuss your catering needs with our staff at the time of booking.  Our professional caterers can offer you varied menus sure to please every palate and budget.  You may also arrange to bring on your own catering for your group.   Meals aboard the Serendipity Princess are primarily buffet style. 
 

Licensed Bar Service
We are liquor licensed for 225 persons; photo identification is required.  Beer, liquor, red and white wine and coolers are available.  Patrons are not permitted to bring on their own alcohol, however, we will accommodate special bar orders (an extra charge may apply over and above our regular bar costs).  Drinks may be "Cash Bar" (each person pays individually per drink) or you may wish to offer your guests full/partial "Host Bar" which will be charged to your credit card plus a 15% gratuity.  If you choose "Partial Host Bar", drink tickets will be provided to your guests (per your instructions). 
 

Payments
A credit card number will be required to secure the reservation at the time of booking.  A $500 deposit will be due 90 days prior to the cruise date with the charter balance due 7 days prior to the cruise date.   Midland Tours requires 72 hours notice in the event of a cancellation for a full refund.   A "Host Bar" must be approved by the Operations Supervisor prior to the cruise and a credit card number must be held at the bar.  Full payment for the bar is due at the end of the cruise.  There will be a 15% gratuity added to the final bar bill for all host bars.
 

Decorating
Decorations are allowed providing there are no open flames such as candles.  Balloons, streamers, bows, etc. are permissible, however, only on the inside levels.  There should be nothing attached to the railings. We will, when available, schedule an extra half hour prior to the scheduled departure time at no cost for decorating.  Should you require additional time, there may be a charge associated.
 

Music
Groups may utilize our sound system by supplying their own CDs or iPod.  Our staff will be pleased to play them for you.  We can also accommodate a disc jockey or a 4 piece band.
 

Smoking
Smoking is allowed at the stern on Level 3 only.
 

Boarding
Passengers will be permitted to board the Serendipity Princess 15 minutes prior to departure.  If more time is required please let us know.
 

Disembarking
Passengers are required to disembark the Serendipity Princess within 15 minutes at the conclusion of the end of the cruise.  The latest disembarking time is 1:00 a.m..
